PE / Epoxy Coated Steel Pipe

 

PE / Epoxy coated steel pipe for underground mining is a composite product equipped with antistatic, flame retardant & anti-corrosion performance. The product overcomes the various defects of other pipe mediums such as easy corrosion and rusting, high levels of pollution, easy deformation and low strength of plastic pipe. It integrates the common advantages of both steel and plastic pipe products and has become an important and popularised energy saving and environmentally friendly product.

PERFORMANCE FEATURES:

  • Outstanding mechanical properties of steel pipe: The composite pipe is equipped with the advantages of steel pipe with high mechanical strength and pressure bearing capacity for foreign influences.
  • Strong chemical resistance: The plastic coating is equipped with strong chemical corrosion resistance making the pipe applicable for conveying corrosive fluid containing sulfur, calcium, magnesium and other mediums used in underground mining. This product may be equipped with various pipe fittings such as flange, tee and elbow connections after anticorrosive treatment of their internal and external coatings so as to ensure the corrosion resistance effect of the entire pipe.
  • Strong coating adhesion: composite pipe adopts a special physical treatment with a pre-treatment reaching Sa 2.5 Standard. The scientific process and advanced equipment ensure the coating quality and adhesion is superior to national standards.
  • Internal surface coating: The composite pipe is free from scaffolding and scaling because of its dense internal surface coating. The friction coefficient and roughness degree are less than those of the ordinary steel pipe.
  • Flame retardant & antistatic: this product adopts a special polyethylene or epoxy powder which is both antistatic and flame retardant. The plastic coating is distributed on the surface and inner layer of the pipe in uniform.
  • Simple Installation: This product adopts different connection modes such as quick joint and flange connections for simple installation and reliable performance.
  • Flexibility: Internal coating and external coatings may adopt different materials and colours according to user requirements. Main coating methods are internal and external polyethylene coating; internal and external epoxy coating; internal epoxy and external PE, as well as other plastic coating processes.
  • 3PE: Optional outter coating of 3PE, which is a further enhanced anti-corrosion, high-density polyethylene compounding material that holds superior electrical properties, excellent environmental stress crack resistance, UV light aging, heat aging resistance and various chemical resistant properties.
